Ready...Steady...Focus! Yoga For KidsWith Jilly Sansone
The intention of this Ready Steady Focus session is to cultivate focus and build your child's attention muscle. Together we practice pausing, noticing and regulating our bodies through fun mindfulness exercises including yoga poses, breath awareness and meditation.
During our session students explore being still, noticing how our bodies have become so used to being busy, constantly moving, fidgeting and thinking. Students are invited on this
journey of waking up and becoming more aware of the present moment. With this awareness we all become more mindful of our thoughts, our words and our actions. Using
these practices children are more able to respond to each moment rather than react and are more present and available throughout their day.
Adults please register under your name - you can participate in the class, sit to the side or wait in our lounge area depending on your comfort level.

Jilly Sansone, OTR/L, RYT 500. is a licensed and registered occupational therapist and currently works in schools as a Yoga & Meditation teacher and OT. She uses humor and a playful mindset to help children learn about body awareness, coordination and focus. Between July 2013 and December 2018 she completed a 500hr yoga training with Jennilee Toner, a 30 hour radiant child yoga training, a 60 hour KYIS, Kripalu Yoga in the Schools Training. Jilly is a certified Mindfulness Meditation Teacher through MMTCP with Tara Brach and Jack Kornfield. She has taught Yoga and Meditation to student’s Pre-K through 12th grade and adults in schools, yoga studios, the YMCA and Correctional Facilities.
