Reading For Smiles (Free Black Literature Arts and Crafts for Children)

The Reading For Smiles project is on a mission to bring the magic of diverse stories to primary schools across the West Midlands.

Our goal is to inspire children through stories that reflect their experiences, helping them feel seen, valued, and excited about the world of books.

With the support of BookTrust, which generously provided books for each student, and the backing of the Arts Council and the Sainsbury Family Charitable Trusts, we’re making a positive impact in the lives of children by promoting literacy and inclusivity through storytelling.

This initiative is about more than just books; it's about celebrating each child’s uniqueness and ensuring that every student, regardless of background, has the opportunity to embrace the power of reading.
