About this Event
About this series:
Building the Future: A STREAM Journey with ASCE is an exciting, hands-on youth series designed to inspire the next generation of innovators in Science, Technology, Reading, Engineering, Art, and Math (STREAM). In partnership with the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), this program introduces young minds to the world of civil engineering and construction, sparking creativity and critical thinking through fun, interactive projects.
Participants will explore everything from designing sustainable cities to understanding how bridges stand tall, all while learning the vital connections between STREAM subjects in real-world applications. ASCE’s Florida Section will provide guidance and expertise, offering local insight into civil engineering challenges and solutions unique to Florida’s environment. Throughout the series, students will collaborate, problem-solve, and even hear from professional engineers about their careers in shaping our infrastructure.
By the end of the series, youth will have a deeper understanding of how they can be part of building the future, making their communities safer, and contributing to environmental sustainability. It's an opportunity to spark curiosity, foster teamwork, and nurture the skills needed to lead tomorrow’s innovations!
