Read it Up Literacy Festival Featured Author

Join us as a Featured Author at the "Read it Up" Literacy Celebration, celebrating diverse characters and authors in children’s literature! This vibrant event will take place on Saturday, May 10, 2025, at Wonder Academy Creative Arts Preschool and School Age Center from 11 AM - 2 PM, with an Author’s Panel from 2 PM - 3 PM.

As a Featured Author, you’ll have the opportunity to:

• Sell and sign your books at your table.
• Participate in an Author’s Panel (optional 1 hour after main event) to share your journey and inspire aspiring authors.
• Network with fellow authors, educators, and influencers in children’s literature.
• Engage with community attendees through read-alouds or fun activities at your table (e.g., crafts, drawing contests).
• Be part of a lively, family-friendly event with music, food trucks, face painting, and more!

To participate, we ask for a $60 fee to cover event logistics. We also ask that you:

• Promote the event on your social media at least 4 times.(We'll share posts you can feel free to adapt!)
• Personally invite 10+ friends, family, and fans to attend.
• Support fellow authors by purchasing at least 1 books/item.

This is an incredible opportunity to celebrate diverse literature, connect with the community, and highlight the importance of representation in children’s books.
