Antelope Lending Library and Velvet Lotus Tattoo are partnering together once again for a tattoo flash event. We're celebrating Banned Book Week (Sept 22-28, 2024)!
With a monetary donation, participants will be able to choose a design at the event created by tattoo artists (sneak peeks will be posted in the discussion thread of this page). The bookmobile will also be on-site in the Velvet Lotus Tattoo parking lot offering all-ages activities!
📖 When: Saturday, September 28, 11:00 am - 7:00 pm
📖 Where: Velvet Lotus Tattoo, 405 Hwy 1 W, Iowa City, IA 52246
📖 First come, first served. Please visit the bookmobile to get a number which will let us know the order in which you arrived. The bookmobile will be on-site from 9:00 am until 11:00 am
📖 Tattoos will require a donation based on design chosen from our pre-drawn designs (some library and banned book inspired)
📖 80% of all proceeds from this event will go to Antelope Lending Library and 20% of all proceeds will go directly to the participating tattoo artists
📖 Sneak peeks of designs will trickle out as posts on this page before the event. All designs will be posted the morning of the event
📖 Tattoos are for 18+ only, but all-ages activities will be outside throughout the event
📖 Tattoos on arms, and legs only
