A Visit to Brown's Warehouse & Portview Trade Centre, Belfast
About this Event

t is 75 years since Belfast celebrated the 1951 Festival of Britain with the ‘Farm and Factory’ Exhibition at Castlereagh; an event showcasing examples of the latest innovations in architecture and design. This year, Brown’s Warehouse is also marking its 75th year. Like its fascinating neighbour, Parkview Trade Centre, (the former Strand Spinning Mill), Brown’s has recently been beautifully restored and much of its industrial fabric retained and re used. During the evening, we will learn about the restoration and re-use of both buildings. There will also be a tour of the recently completed conversion of Brown’s Warehouse with Paul Elliott, the architect who has overseen this ambitious and exciting project.
