As part of City Splash Week we're opening our community garden to all you wonderful people who want to be part of food security, food justice and sovereignty of food and self.

This is a hands- on approach involving physical activity through to the mental clarity and wellbeing gained from reconnecting to soil and from making new connections, growing food as a collective.

Please come prepared with comfortable and weather appropriate footwear and clothing; bring a pair of gardening gloves, a reusable water bottle for top ups and we'll provide plant based food cooked on-site.

We are wheelchair accessible and have appropriate activities for those with mobility concerns.

Have your blood pressure and kidney health checked on the day, even if you're in your 20's and 30's- our people are being diagnosed with these conditions earlier than other ethnicities. For more details, head over to The Plantain Programme .

Coco Collective- Ital Community Gardens is an Afrikan- diaspora led grassroots community org since 2021, nestled in Lewisham, using our heritage esteem to address food insecurity, planet repairs and culturally appropriate health & wellbeing.
