Info: Marc has lived in New York, Puerto Rico, and California, growing up speaking both English and Spanish. Since 1998, he has served as a Latino mathematics faculty member in both high school and community college settings. In 1992, he married his Afro-Portuguese wife, and with her, learned to speak Portuguese. Beyond the classroom, he served as RCC’s Equity Chair and currently advises a student club supporting formerly incarcerated and system-impacted students. His experiences reflect an ongoing journey of navigating identity, adapting to new roles, and seeking how he can contribute to the communities around him.
