Museum at the Library: Indigenous Peoples’ Day

Indigenous People’s Day is in October, and to celebrate we’re teaming up with culture bearer Rosy Aranda at the Casa Blanca Library! Join us for a screening of Pá'Čapa': A Mt. Rubidoux Story, a free craft activity, and learn some Cahuilla words. This event is free and family-friendly!

More about Pá'Čapa': A Mt. Rubidoux Story

Mount Rubidoux is an iconic Riverside Landmark. Over 1,000 people visit the site every day, and monuments and plaques describe the colonial history of the site. This mountain, however, was and remains a sacred Native place. Through local Native perspectives (Serrano, Cahuilla, Luiseño, and Tongva) and the voices of culture bearers, this documentary highlights the heritage of this important site. Run time is approximately 25 minutes.
