Full-day Stunt Intensive with Ray Nicholas
After two standout stunt workshops, we’re delighted to welcome Ray Nicholas back to Wrexham Academy of Screen Acting — this time for a full-day intensive focused on sword combat for film and television.
Screen combat looks exhilarating on camera, but it demands precision, control and trust. This workshop is built to give you exactly that — in a way that’s physical, energetic and genuinely enjoyable.
Designed for people who like movement, fitness and learning by doing, the weekend is ideal whether you’re an actor, performer, or simply someone who enjoys a challenge and wants to push themselves.
Across two action-packed days, you’ll train in:
• Safe sword handling
• Partnered combat and choreography
• Movement, timing and spatial awareness
• Selling action for camera
• Staying truthful and confident under physical pressure
Ray’s teaching style is supportive, structured and safety-first, creating an environment where you can throw yourself into the work, build confidence quickly, and leave feeling properly accomplished.
There will also be an optional opportunity to receive professionally filmed footage of you in action during the workshop. Shot with screen performance in mind, this material can be used for:

• Professional CVs
The choreography and filming are guided by an understanding of what casting professionals and stunt teams actually look for — clean, believable, camera-ready action.
No previous sword or stunt experience is needed.
