Raw Voices 10-Year Anniversary

Raw Voices is a monthly spoken word, comedy and music show that happens every last Friday of the month. This showcase will include feature performances from a local poet, comedian, and musician.

This anniversary edition of Raw Voices will include special messages from community speakers, food & drink, and a raffle!

- Drop-ins are welcome, but registration is encouraged

- Admission by Donation: $5 - $15

- Ages 16+ recommended.

Alcove Centre for the Arts (alcoveartscentre.ca) is a charity based in Calgary, AB which aims to make art more accessible and promote a vibrant local arts industry. We curate and cultivate community art spaces for Calgarians to engage in art and creativity while building a platform for emerging local artists. Alcove Centre for the Arts has two locations: Alcove Core and Alcove Beltline.

Alcove Core (244 7 Ave SW) is a Recreational Art Space open to the public providing free art supplies and instruments to stimulate creativity. The space also acts as a gathering place for workshops, community events, and social meetups. Come visit and get creative!

Alcove Beltline (1040 8 St SW) is a multi-use, flexible venue that is available to book for private or public events. If you are looking for an affordable space that has equipment rentals available, in a central location, for 75-100 people at a time, then this space may be a great fit for you!
