About this Event
Rare Diseases: A Catalyst for Global Health Transformation
Date: 20 May 2026
Location: The Graduate Institute, Geneva - Auditorium Ivan Pictet B (Via Hall Pétale 2)
During the 79th World Health Assembly, Rare Diseases International (RDI) will host a side-event in Geneva titled "Rare Diseases: A Catalyst for Global Health Transformation", which will bring together policymakers, patient advocates, industry leaders, researchers, and global health institutions to move from commitment to implementation. It builds on the landmark WHA Resolution "Rare Diseases; a global health priority for equity and inclusion" adopted at the 78th WHA during the discussion on UHC and co-sponsored by 41 Member States, recognizing rare diseases as a global health priority for equity and inclusion, and advancing a 10-Year Global Action Plan.
Stay tuned for the agenda and speakers! We look forward to convening diverse voices to align on solutions, scale impact, and drive real change across global health.
Please only book your Eventbrite ticket if you intend to attend the event in person. If you intend to attend the event remotely, please register via the following link:
