Join us for a guided snowshoe walk exploring native animals of the mountain ecosystem.
About this Event

Washington State Parks interpreter Kara Frashefski, with guest speaker Matt Brinkman of Washington Department of Fish & Wildlife, will lead a snowshoe hike to explore native animals and how they adapt to mountain conditions.

Participants must provide own snowshoes or traction cleats as conditions necessitate.


Length of hike: 2.6 miles (approx. 2hrs)

-Level of difficulty: easy

-ADA/stroller accessible: no

-Ages 10 and up recommended

-Leashed dogs allowed


Meet at the Lower Kit Carson parking area, also known as the Hairpin Turn parking area: 1.8 miles past the park office on Mt. Spokane Park Drive. Carpooling is encouraged due to limited parking availability. SNO-PARK PASS REQUIRED FOR PARKING.
