Rakhtabha is an evocative solo Kathak-based theatrical production that explores the powerful duality of the colour red as a symbol of a woman’s radiance, fertility and love, as well as her resistance, rage and divine strength.

The performance delves deeply into feminine energy across time, invoking the sacred, the sensual and Shakti through traditional Kathak vocabulary, literature and contemporary expression.

Premiered in Delhi and subsequently presented in Bangalore, Mumbai, Paris and London, Rakhtabha has received immense appreciation for its visual richness, musical intricacy and spiritual depth
