Raising Healthy Kids in a Digital World
In today’s digital world, technology is a big part of our kids’ lives—but helping them develop a healthy relationship with technology can sometimes feel challenging.
Join us for our November Table Talk as we explore what the latest research tells us about technology and youth well-being. We’ll look at some of the common challenges kids face and, most importantly, practical ways parents can help.
Featured Speaker: Tamara Oborn
Tamara holds a Master’s in Public Administration and is a Prevention Specialist, High School Positive Psychology teacher, and mom of teens. She has extensive experience understanding the research and resources surrounding youth and technology and teaches both community classes and a classroom unit focused on developing a healthy relationship with technology.
Tamara also helped develop PG High Schools' no-cell-phone-in-class policy before Utah’s current statewide law was passed.
We’ll discuss:
🔹 The Top 3 Tech Traps that can catch kids
🔹 The Top 3 Tips to help keep kids safe and healthy
🔹 How technology can affect well-being, relationships, sleep, and daily life
🔹 Practical ways to create healthier technology habits at home
🔹 How to talk with kids about technology without turning every conversation into a battle
Bring your questions! This will be an opportunity to learn, ask questions, and have an open conversation about helping kids navigate technology in a healthy way.
