Rain Gardens 101 with EMSWCD at Stark

Join the East Multnomah Soil & Water Conservation District for a class on rain gardens! Adding a beautiful rain garden to your yard can help protect local streams and reduce flooding. Learn how to assess your property for the best rain garden location and size, choose the right plants, and how to construct and maintain your rain garden.
***All classes at Stark this fall will be held in our veggie hoophouse, which is located in the yard of the nursery, near the trees and shrubs. It is a large greenhouse that functions as a covered outdoor area. If the weather is warm, we will have water available, but please remember to dress so that you are comfortable during the presentation.***

Registration closes when the event is sold out or 2 hours before the workshop begins.

Water: We recommend participants bringing a reusable water bottle to reduce single use plastic.
Interaction level: Low. This is a presentation-style workshop with a presenter sharing the majority of the information. There are opportunities for participants to ask questions throughout the presentation. Participation is optional.
