We're so excited to have you pick 2 sessions from the several amazing topics. Here are the breakdown of each session below.
Family Compass: Values, Vision & Focus for the Year Ahead
As a new school year begins, it's an opportunity to reconnect with what matters most. This interactive workshop invites parents and caregivers to reflect on their family's values, clarify their vision for the season ahead, and identify a few meaningful goals to guide the months ahead. Leave with practical tools and renewed clarity to help your family stay grounded, connected, and intentional throughout the year.
Co-parenting Together: Building Stability for Children Despite Differences
This session focuses on understanding the dynamics of co-parenting relationships, navigating common challenges, and fostering stability and emotional well-being for children. Participants will explore practical strategies for managing conflict, strengthening communication, establishing healthy boundaries, and creating consistency across households. Through interactive discussions and real-life scenarios, families will gain tools to build respectful co-parenting and stepparenting relationships that keep the needs of their children at the center of every decision.
How to Navigate Teen Suicide in Racial/Ethnic Families
This interactive workshop will focus on the increasing prevalence of suicide and suicidal ideation (SI) in racial/ethnic youth and teens. This presentation will address common misconceptions about suicide for youth, and predominant cultural narratives around suicide in families of color. Participants will learn ways they can reduce the stigma about suicide in their relationships with their youth and teens. Participants will gain helpful strategies on how to manage suicide for teens such as recognizing signs of ideation and severity, having real conversations with their teen, managing their own reactions as caregivers, when to disclose to larger community, and how to build protective plans with their teen. The focus of the workshop will be on how to support the entire family system as they navigate teen suicide.
Connecting with your Kids
In this session, you’ll learn how to deepen your relationship and connection with your child. Although many of these tips work best for ages 2-11, they can certainly be applied to older children (and even adults!). Maintaining the bonds of love and communicating through the tough stuff are some of the foundational building blocks to connecting to your child.
Boundaries With Adult Children
The session provides an opportunity to learn about setting boundaries effectively with adult children, including understanding the difference between boundaries and rules, enforcing them, and dealing with disregard or disrespect. It also offers a chance to share tips and tricks with others in similar situations.
Cycles of Change: Navigating Menopause and Infertility Related to PCOS
This session provides real, practical information about health concerns that impact so many of us. Learn from a professional who treats PCOS and related reproductive health concerns, including how PCOS can affect fertility, infertility, and the transition into menopause. Come ready to learn, ask questions, and get answers to some of the things you may have been wondering about.
