If you like to get outdoors and are looking for an activity close to home where you can connect with nature, why not join us in tending our rain garden?!
This valuable ecosystem in our parking lot not only acts as a living filter to keep refuse and runoff from reaching our water systems, but it also plays host to a variety of native insects, birds and wildlife right here in town.
We welcome volunteers who are interested in helping during our last clean-up for the season. We will use this time to remove trash, clear sand from drainage points, lightly trim the river birch and check for and/or mitigate invasive plants. Basic tools and materials will be provided, but feel free to bring your own too.
Volunteers will receive one complimentary beverage from our drink cooler during the event as a 'thank you' for your support. Please contact us at the store if you are interested in volunteering your time.
