Our Spring open house will be Saturday, April 18th from 10 AM to 5 PM. This year the open house is bigger than ever before, so much so we’re calling it Railroad Day at Purdue! The club has been hard at work finishing more scenes on the layout and we will have trains running for visitors to see. There will also be a member-built N scale layout running trains outside of the club room, as well as Lego trains run by another member of the club. Beyond model trains, we will have a display on Lafayette railroads courtesy of the Tippecanoe County Historical Association and Lafayette bicentennial traveling exhibit program. Finally, we have a presentation by the Monon Railroad Historical-Technical Society at 11:00 AM. Importantly, the MRHTS presentation will be in Stewart Center across from the PMU, in room STEW 311. We can’t wait to see everyone there!
