Move and Be Moved. Conscious Dance in Context.
October 20 and 27 and November 3 and 10
There is so much to be angry about—in our lives and in this world.
When we hold it all in, it eats us up from the inside out.
We take it out on the people we love or the strangers who cross our path.
After we let it all out we might feel depleted, alone, adrift.
Through RageDance at Spiral Studio we move with purpose, power, and guided somatic release—in community.
This is not some kind of constructed anger for the sake of being angry.
This is an opportunity to go deeper—to focus our anger and release it in order to make space for something new to emerge.
Maybe what emerges is more rage.
Maybe it’s a project or a plan. A way to work toward the world you want to live in, to serve your community, to take better care of yourself.
Maybe it’s a feeling. Data to better know yourself inside and out.
At RageDance, we direct our rage at the systems and structures that keep us feeling bound and helpless—patriarchy, white supremacy, capitalism—and the ways that they manifest in our lives locally, nationally, globally.
What are you raging about?
Violence against women? ICE raids and deportations? A lack of accountability for people in power? Gas prices? Growing threats of war? Attacks on reproductive and LGBTQ+ rights? The dismantling of programs that serve the disenfranchised?
In RageDance, we access our energy, sovereignty, and intuition.
We alchemize our grief into grit. And rise from the ashes of our anger.
After releasing and reckoning through conscious dance we access our inner-knowing through somatic tools and ground, center, and renew resilience through restorative yoga and meditation.
We emerge knowing that we are part of a bigger movement, transforming ourselves to transform our world.

Are you ready to start the journey to take back your power?
October 20: Rage and Reignite
The world is on fire, fueled by patriarchal violence and the smog of smug entitled bad actors (pedophiles and puppet masters). It’s time to reignite the feminist mission. Ground zero starts here.
October 27: Rage and Reckoning
Politics as usual keeps us in our heads, ruminating on unfairness with fear and resentment. Embody social justice as we move through a reckoning of white supremacy and extractive capitalism. Rage against the mechanisms of power.
November 3: Rage and Resilience
Prepare for the final election results by moving your body and mind to a specially curated playlist that prepares us to walk through any fire. The only way is through and the humble warrior knows what tools to carry and what battles to let go of.
November 10: Rage and Reimagine
Post-election, whatever the result, imagination is inspiration for how we live our lives amidst change. Root into the stories that inspire us to keep our hearts and eyes open. Clear some space where we can create a future where there is room for all of us.

Inspiration
Danielle, Superfine Synergy
Sometimes anger is the part of us that says: This is not okay.

A boundary has been crossed.
Something I value has been violated.
A need hasn't been met.
An injustice has occurred.

Enough.

No.

Anger carries information.
And it carries energy.

It can be the fire that helps us protect ourselves.

Speak.
Set a boundary.
Make a change.
Take action.
Stand beside another woman.
Say the thing we've been afraid to say.

And maybe we've become so accustomed to talking about calming ourselves, regulating ourselves, soothing ourselves, and finding our way back to peace that we've forgotten something important:

Not every emotion needs to be calmed down immediately.

Sometimes anger deserves some room.

Not so it can take over.
So we can hear it.
Krissie, RAGEher Founder
Why anger?
Because we have a collective misunderstanding of anger.
We mostly see anger in its worst expressions: bullying, mass shootings, assault, aggression… this is how we most often see anger in the world.
But those are all reactive outbursts–not the truth of anger.
The feeling of anger is something else entirely.
It’s that gut feel of “no” in the belly telling you that a boundary has been crossed.
It’s the swirl of aliveness and discomfort that builds when you know you want something different in the moment.
It’s both intention and action–the drive to go after what you DO want.
It’s clarity.
It’s assertion.
It’s purpose.
As women, we are actively taught to silence this part of ourselves.
And who does that benefit?
Not us, that’s for sure.
The patriarchy. Colonialism. Capitalism. The systems that are actively confining us to roles and hierarchies, rather than nourishing our full humanity.
We’re on a mission to change that. Because our health, our families, our communities, and our lives depend on it.
