Started in 2022, the Greater Bangor Recreation Economy for Rural Communities (GBRERC) is a community coalition project whose mission is to lead and inspire locals and visitors to experience our vibrant community through authentic experiences rooted in our outdoor recreation and
cultural assets.
Through the EPA's Recreation Economy for Rural Communities process, our work is anchored by 4 main goals:
- Promote the GBR's Outdoor Recreation & Cultural Tourism Assets
- Improve and Expand Trail Connectivity
- Improve River Access
-Promote Collaborative Partnerships
Come learn, connect, and discover how you, your organization, or business can get involved in the projects shaping our region’s future.
