Radio Maine Live Summer 2026: What Kind of Maine Are We Building?
About this Event
Radio Maine Live returns to the Portland Art Gallery, in Portland's Old Port, this summer for an evening of conversation, creativity and community. At its center is a panel about Maine's economy and what keeps people here, with four past Radio Maine guests: Quincy Hentzel, Ginny Hussey, Philip Hussey and Tobias Parkhurst. Each of them builds, hires and leads in Maine, and each carries a different piece of its story.
The panel takes place on Thursday, August 20, from 5 to 7 p.m. at 154 Middle Street, with a reception, refreshments, and time to connect afterward.
This summer's gathering focuses on a question many of us are living with: what kind of Maine are we building? Rather than a traditional economic-development panel, the conversation starts with people, each one a different piece of Maine's growth story.
Introducing our panelists:
Quincy Hentzel is the president and chief executive of the Portland Regional Chamber of Commerce, where she speaks for area businesses and watches closely how policy, cost and the business climate shape whether companies can grow and hire in Maine.
Ginny Hussey is the general manager of Canopy Portland Waterfront and part of the team that launched the Press Hotel, a hospitality leader who champions Maine's food, art and people and shapes how visitors come to know Portland.
Philip Hussey is the chief executive of Thos. Moser, the Maine company known for handcrafted American furniture, and a seventh-generation member of the Hussey Seating family, a manufacturing leader who carries a long Maine legacy of building things made to last.
Tobias Parkhurst is the co-founder of Cushnoc Brewing Company and president of Oakes & Parkhurst Glass, a Main Street entrepreneur whose work helped bring new energy to downtown Augusta and who understands a thriving small business as the heart of a community.
