On Thursday 25th June an astonishing roster of stand-up comedy talent heads for Radio Glasgow on Sauchiehall St, including headliner Raymond Mearns, support acts Liam Farrelly and Maria McAveety, plus our resident host Paddy Linton. There’ll also be an AFTER PARTY with a live DJ and selected drinks for £4!


RAYMOND MEARNS is one of the UK’s busiest and most respected circuit comics. Described by Frankie Boyle as ‘a genuine improvisational genius’, he has gained recognition as one of the most consistently hilarious comedians in the land. Balancing his comedy career with film and TV, he has had roles in Rab C Nesbitt, Limmy’s Show and BBC Scotland’s Breaking The News. He also presents the hit podcast ‘Glesga Da’ with fellow comedian Stuart Mitchell.

Opening the show will be LIAM FARRELLY, the incredible 25-year-old comedian from Paisley who, despite his age, already has an impressive list of accolades under his belt, including in 2021 being crowned both Scottish Comedian of the Year AND Frog and Bucket’s World Series Comedy Champion. He’s had TV roles including on BBC Scotland’s Scot Squad and being featured on BBC’s Live at the Apollo. He’s also the support act of choice for big names including Susie McCabe, Larry Dean and Tom Stade.

Your host for the evening is our resident compere PADDY LINTON. His impressive stand-up skills have fast become highly in demand at some of the best comedy shows in the country. In March 2025 he was chosen to open for Darren Connell at Glasgow’s legendary King’s Theatre. He’s also been support act of choice for Mark Black and Gary Faulds.

Our middle act for the evening is up-and-coming comedian and legendary local musician MARIA MCAVEETY.

· Tickets can be refunded or exchanged no less than 24 hours before the show.

· Line-ups can be subject to change at short notice.

· The show is in three parts separated by two intervals. Doors open at 7pm, half an hour before the start time of 7:30pm. The show is expected to end sometime between 9:30pm and 10pm.

· Don’t talk or heckle during the performances. We want everyone to enjoy the show and aim for theatre-style conditions when the acts are on stage. Some performers encourage audience interaction, so feel free to join in if you are spoken to. Please don't be offended if we ask you to be quiet - other people have paid to listen to comedy, not you and your friends. Think of it like cinema rules: laughter, cheers, applause are all great, but talking or yelling out is not. And another cinema rule…

· Please put your phone on silent. Photos are fine but please no video, sound recording or flash photography.

· This is NOT a standing event. All audience members must be seated while the performance is underway, unless ordering at the bar or using the toilets. When ordering at the bar, please whisper.

· Kids and pets not welcome. These shows are for humans aged 18 and over. You may be asked to show ID if you do not look of age.

· Jesters Comedy Nights does not necessarily agree or disagree with the opinions and viewpoints expressed by the comedians. Acts are booked based on their ability to make people laugh, beyond that we respect freedom of expression. If you disagree or are offended by what you hear, you are free to express this by not laughing, by leaving, or by respectfully raising your objections with the act after the show or via social media. You may not interrupt an on-going performance.

· Audience members who don’t respect these rules will be asked to leave.
