TyWanza Sanders, a man with a philanthropic spirit and a commitment to the achievement of youth in his community and beyond, was the youngest victim of the 2015 Mother Emanuel Church Massacre. To honor his life and continue his legacy, Race 4 Achievement Inc. (R4A) created this family friendly community run/walk to provide funds for R4A's TyWanza Sanders Scholarship Fund and other philanthropic outreach programs.
This community event is R4A's primary fundraiser, enabling us to persist in our mission of supporting the community and championing diversity within the Charleston #commUNITY. Proceeds from this event have allowed R4A to award over $30,000 worth of scholarships since the event's inception to minority high school graduates in the Charleston area. The TyWanza Sanders Scholarship Fund includes the following $1,000 scholarships TyWanza Sanders Scholarship at James Island Charter High, West Ashley High, and Burke High School, the Dan Stern Citadel Scholarship, the Malik Samir Werts Scholarship at the Charleston County School of the Arts, and the Kevin White Jr. Fort Dorchester High School Scholarship.

Race Registrations
🟢Non-Donut Challenge individuals* will be able to consume as many doughnuts as they want on a "one doughnut at a time basis."
*All kids must have a parent or parental guardian in sight of them and must be registered for the event as well.
🟢Race From Home can be done anytime after you receive your registration materials and swag bag. Shipping fee is included in your ticket price.
(March 23rd registration ends for Race From Home)
🟢 Donut Challenge individuals/teams will run/walk from South Windermere Shopping Center down the Greenway to Krispy Kreme Doughnuts where they MUST eat a dozen doughnuts before heading back to the finish line - IF YOU DO NOT PLAN ON EATING ALL 12 DOUGHNUTS DO NOT REGISTER AS A COMPETITOR.
(2-3 racers per team - your team time is based on the last person on your team crossing the fishline)
🟢Donut Challenge Kids* will run/walk from South Windermere Shopping Center down the Greenway to Krispy Kreme Doughnuts where they MUST eat 4 doughnuts before heading back to the finish line - IF YOU DO NOT PLAN ON EATING 4 DOUGHNUTS DO NOT REGISTER AS A COMPETITOR.
*All kids must have a parent or parental guardian in sight of them and must be registered for the event as well.

Donate to sponsor a local student's registration benefiting racers from Pacers for Racers & St. Andrews Elementary. All students must register with a parent, so your donation will multiple and raise more scholarship funds. Simply click the image to be taken to the donate page, use the donation tab, or add your donation during registration.
🟣Individual Competitive Groups:
🍩Kids 5-8 years old: "Mini Glazers" – These little doughnuts are just starting to run and have all the sweetness!
🍩Kids 9-12 years old: "Jelly-Filled Juniors" – A bit older and filled with energy, ready to burst with excitement on the racecourse.
🍩Kids 13-15 years old: "Krispy Kreme Crushers" – Teenagers with the speed and power to crush the competition, just like a fresh doughnut!
🍩Female & Male 16-21 years old: "Sprinkle Sprint Squad" – Fast and flashy, with all the energy and colorful vibes of a doughnut covered in sprinkles!
🍩Female & Male 22-34 years old: "Chocolate Frosted Flyers" – Slick, strong, and frosted with ambition, this group is flying toward the finish line!
🍩Female & Male 35-49 years old: "Double-Glazed Dynamos" – With twice the experience and grit, this group is ready to shine with energy like a double-glazed doughnut!
🍩Female & Male 50+ years old: "Old-Fashioned Flyers" – Like the beloved old-fashioned doughnut, they might be classic, but they're strong, reliable, and can still fly through the course!
