We are VERY excited to welcome back John Coghlan, original drummer in Status Quo, to play their songs as an acoustic jazz quartet. Fab!
John Coghlan (www.johncoghlan.com)was Status Quo’s drummer for nearly 20 of the band’s formative and some might say, most successful years. Following a meeting of minds and many cups of coffee, bassist Paul Jefferies (www.pauljefferies.com) and John decided to create a brand new project that would feature the legendary drummer himself and a section of the Quo’s greatest hits, but preformed with an acoustic jazz quartet format and re-imagined to include improvisation and exciting new arrangements. This exciting quartet also features the explosive talents of jazz violinist/vocalist Ben Holder (www.benholdermusic.co.uk) and the talented Cheltenham based pianist Alex Steele (www.alexsteele.co.uk) - the result is highly entertaining and dare we say it - electrifying!
