About this Event
CSMA presents the Bay Area’s own Quinteto Latino, a dynamic wind quintet dedicated to showcasing Latino compositions, founded in 2004 by French horn player Armando Castellano.
Highlights of the performance include classical and contemporary Latin American music such as Tania León’s De Memorias and Astor Piazzolla’s charming “Fuga y Misterio.” They will also perform cutting-edge new works, including Realizing Dawn by Cole Reyes and the premiere of Signs of Anachronous Winds, composed for and dedicated to Quinteto Latino by Brazilian composer Marcus Siqueira.
