Quiet opening and family workshop

For some people, a museum visit can overwhelm the senses. At our next quiet opening and family workshop at the Gallery of Modern Art, you will get a chance to explore our exhibitions in a relaxed environment. On Friday 27th September, for the first hour of the day (10-11am), we will reduce noise levels, flashing lights and crowds as much as possible.

At any point during the opening and afterwards, families can also head to our top floor Studio to participate in a hands-on workshop (10am-12pm), where creativity and imagination come to life. The workshop is designed for children aged 3-12.

This event is aimed at any person and family group who can benefit from a more quiet setting and numbers will be limited. You can download our visual storyboard . Sensory kits are always available, free, to borrow from our front desk.
