Queers & Cheers: A Sapphic Brunch & Bar Crawl
About this Event
If you're here and you're queer, you'll know that New Orleans is severely lacking in over-all wlw/sapphic/lesbo/girly spaces and events; especially before dark!
So, because I love day drinking, ladies, queer businesses, brunch and being home before the sun goes down, I decided to host a summer sapphic get together for all y’all who feel the same way. I see this as a beautiful opportunity for us to support businesses we love during a season that is so hard for so many, build queer community and meet some day-walking cuties pies!
As a note, when I say all y’all, I mean it. Cis, enby, trans, + … we are all welcome here!
Here is the itinerary:
12:00 PM – 2:00 PM: Boozy (or not) brunch at Who Dat Coffee Café
2:15 PM: Pit stop at The Phoenix Bar for a refill or go-drink on the way to…
2:30 PM – 4:15 PM: Wifey's Queer Bar, 1943 N Rampart St.
4:30 PM - ??:?? AM/PM?? - Now this is where my event ends and I hand it over to anyone who loves a lagniappe adventure. I have timed this out so that we have options. You can keep drinking for a few hours (since there’s still 3 hours until sunset) and more gay bars to be seen, you can do-what-ya-wanna (duh), OR, if you are so inclined to keep the party going in a different way, I encourage you to buy tickets to and experience the “Sapphic Speakeasy: An All-Sapphic + Lesbian Burlesque & Drag Revue" hosted at the AllWays Lounge by Carlotta Coquette. The doors are at 4:30 and the show at 5:15 PM.
So, hopefully, a little something for everyone.
