Let's Hear It! invites LGBTQ+ writers, poets and people with something to say to get up onto stage for the first time. With performances from featured performers TAESIDE and Sara Collie, and hosted by honor ash, Let's Hear It! has a number of open spots for debut public performances, open to participants in the accompanying workshop and LGBTQ+ people who have not yet spoken in public (or are nervous about doing so).
Let's Hear It! aims to be a supportive environment for those making their first steps into the world of performance and speaking in public. We ask that if appropriate, content warnings are given at the start of readings, all readings are kept to an absolute maximum of five minutes, and that content of readings is considered and avoids hate or bigotry.
If you would like to debut at Let's Hear It! please email [email protected] with your name and a little bit about what you'd like to read. Slots are 5 minutes long, maximum. If we have space then we'll get back to you via email. Priority will be given to those who attend the Let's Hear It! workshop on February 2nd (bookable here: https://www.outsavvy.com/event/24468/queerfest-lets-hear-it).
