Queer Reader Meetup

As your local hub for books and community, Elizabeth's Bookshop & Writing Centre has established regular opportunities for readers looking to make new friends.

Queer Reader Meetups are from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. the first Saturday of every month. From 12 p.m. to 1 p.m., bring a book or purchase one from our shelves and READ. Carving out designated time to read each week is an act of self care! You deserve it!

Then, from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m., enjoy unstructured social time with other readers. Find out what others are reading or recommend you favorite books to others. It's also a great time to meet people in your community looking for friends.

We offer three types of Reader Meetups for different interests and demographics:

Queer Readers Meetup: First Saturday of Each Month

BIPOC Readers Meetup: Third Thursday od Each Month

All Readers Meetup: Last Saturday of Each Month
