Queer Networks Connect II is a space for LGBTQ+ folks working towards a healthier society to connect, celebrate and support each other.
About this Event

Queer Networks Connects aims to to connect LGBTQ+ Staff Networks and people working towards better health, primarily across Lambeth and Southwark.

Developed and led by Black Thrive Lambeth and Guy’s & St Thomas’ Foundation, Queer Networks Connect aims to build relationships and connections between people and organisations working towards a healthier society, exploring ways of better supporting local LGBTQ+ health and wellbeing for staff and residents.

Lambeth and Southwark have some of the highest LGBTQ+ populations in the UK. This event will take place between Black History Month and Disability History MonthThe next event will expand on the themes of community-based wellbeing opportunities for, particularly those led by and for LGBTQ+ Black and/or Disabled people and communities . By promoting networking and collaboration, Queer Network Connects strives to create a supportive environment that addresses the unique challenges and opportunities faced by Lambeth and Southwark's LGBTQ+ communities.

This event is open to all LGBTQ+ staff and staff networks working towards collective health. We also welcome active allies working in this space to attend.

****AGENDA TO FOLLOW****

Our first event brought together over 60 staff members across 10 LGBTQ+ staff networks and highlighted the expertise of locally based well-being practitioners, receiving excellent feedback. Queer Networks provides a dedicated space for providers and staff to connect, learn, and collaborate on tailored solutions that meet the diverse needs of the community in a relaxed networking setting. Most of all we want to encourage connection, learning and celebration of the massive contribution of LGBTQ+ people to our collective health.

Refreshments including a delicious range of Queer owned food and beverage (with a range of alcoholic and no/low options) will be served so please do come and enjoy!
