Queer Life Drawing at The Roses

Championing and delighting in the multifaceted beauty of queer bodies, this life drawing class is for the community, allowing us a space to gather, create, and revel in each other's transcendental existence.

• Session starts at 6pm - please come 10 minutes early to choose a seat in the beautiful cabaret space & order a drink if you wish. The session is untutored, and while some basic materials (paper, pencils) are provided, we welcome you to bring your own.

Please note - due to the space (the crisp white tablecloths! the plush leopard print carpets!) we ask that you use dry materials only (water colour is permitted) - and respect our request that no charcoal is used.

We will have a series of short and dynamic poses, followed by a 20-ish minute break in the middle of the session for you to grab a little liquid lubrication. After the break we’ll get into drawing some more short poses before working our way up to a 15 min pose to close the session.

This is a relaxed session - if at any point you'd like to have a little break or a chat you are more than welcome to. Food and drinks are available to order to your table during or after the session, and you are welcome to linger after 6pm for an impromptu salon with the other artists and eat and drink to your heart's content.

• 2 steps up to enter the building - there is a wheelchair ramp available which the staff are trained to use
• Ramp down into the cabaret space where we will be holding the session
