Queer Bawl: Community Grief Circle / September 2026

Connect with LGBTQ+ community to share in your grief and engage in conversations about all different types of grief including non-death losses such as: sense of self and identity, loss of community, family dynamics, society standards, and any other losses or changes.

Each attendee will receive one complimentary beverage from Quince Coffee House thanks to the Denver Public Library sponsing the event. Additional food and beverages will be available for purchase at the venue beyond that.

Physical Space

• The space has one single-stall, all-gender restroom. It is wide enough to accommodate mobility aids.
• The event will include outdoor seating on patio-type furniture around a fire pit. Weather events could lead to the event being held indoors, in that case seating indoors will be on wooden chairs.
• The shop is wheelchair accessible with a wooden ramp and wide doorways.

Parking

• Lot and free street parking available.

Food

• Dietary options with gluten-free, vegan, and dairy-free options for both food and drinks.

Masking

• Quince does not require customers to mask however, this is a masking-highly-encouraged event. Masks can be provided to you. We will try our best to be outside with a firepit weather-permiting.

Info: Giving extra time for driving in traffic, parking, ordering/receiving a drink or any treats, and settling in to the space.

Info: After settling in, we will welcome the group, have an optional breathing exercise, and then set the tone for the discussion to follow.

Info: Similar to a Death Cafe, the grief circle will be an open-ended discussion with no agenda, objectives or themes. It is a discussion group rather than a grief support or counselling session. It will be consisting of what others want to share or ask. If hosted outdoors, weather permitting, we will have a fire pit.
