Qigong with Sharon Bednar
About this Event
Bring awareness and balance to your mind, body, and spirit with a Qigong practice session.
Qigong is an ancient Chinese practice developed by Qigong Masters who were curious about humans, nature, the universe and all that is. These principles have been shared through generations for over 5000 years. Many may be familiar with Tai Chi, which was born from the Qigong principles ~ 700 years ago.
We not only live in the universe, but we are a part of the universe. When we are in sync with nature, the seasons, and the universe at large, we are healthy, happy, and grounded. When we are not in sync with the world around us, overcome by 'negative' emotions, or recurrant stressor, it can lead to energetic blockages that can impede the open flow of energy through our body's energy channels. If the blockages are left in place and not removed energy does not flow freely and can lead to ‘dis-ease’, illness.
Join my Qigong practice group for an evening of gentle movement, meditation and connection. I've been a nurse for 30 years. When I discovered Qigong in 2020, I instantly resonated with its principles. I began My journey through the five-level training program through Spring Forest Qigong. The last five years have allowed me to refine my practice and helped me realize that I wanted to share this amazing practice with others. I truly believe this practice is the perfect partner to Western medicine practices. Together they are a beautiful blending of knowledge that supports a happier, healthier, longer life.
Whether you’re new to Qigong or deepening your practice, this class offers a welcoming space to reconnect with yourself and the world around you. No experience is needed. Come as you are- I have no doubt you'll leave feeling calmer, more grounded, and more energized!
