Welcome back for the 2025 edition!! to another tranquil and mystical weekend amongst the foggy forests of Balingup.
This Origins retreat will be an opportunity to explore the art of Qi-Gong (from a Traditional Chinese Medicine perspective), alongside the art of flow as eluded to in Daoist philosophy.

𝐖𝐇𝐀𝐓 𝐃𝐎𝐄𝐒 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐖𝐄𝐄𝐊𝐄𝐍𝐃 𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐀𝐈𝐋? ☯️
𝑸𝒊-𝑮𝒐𝒏𝒈 - multiple daily classes where we will be practicing thee different systems of Qi-Gong (Shi Ba Shi Qi-Gong, Heaven to Earth Qi-Gong and Five Element Qi-Gong). The movements are simple, gentle and flowing and great for maintaining health and wellbeing. They also support us for connecting to something greater than ourselves.
𝑫𝒂𝒐𝒊𝒔𝒕 𝑪𝒐𝒔𝒎𝒐𝒍𝒐𝒈𝒚 - classes will be sprinkled with teachings, philosophies and practices from the Eastern traditions.
𝑾𝒐𝒐𝒅 𝑭𝒊𝒓𝒆𝒅 𝑺𝒂𝒖𝒏𝒂𝒔 - experience the tradition and difference of a wood-fired sauna. A great way to relax the body after a day of movement practice.
𝑴𝒆𝒅𝒊𝒕𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 - slow the mind and connect with the present moment with nature based meditations on the beautiful 17 acres of Origins land.
𝑩𝒊𝒃𝒃𝒖𝒍𝒎𝒖𝒏 𝑻𝒓𝒂𝒄𝒌 𝒃𝒖𝒔𝒉𝒘𝒂𝒍𝒌 - we will go on a collective hike together on the world class track on the Sunday. There will be ample free time on other days for those who wish to go on shorter walks.
𝑫𝒊𝒅𝒈𝒆𝒓𝒊𝒅𝒐𝒐 𝑺𝒐𝒖𝒏𝒅 𝑴𝒆𝒅𝒊𝒕𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒔 - under the magic of ancient Oak and Yarri trees + trickling streams.

this magical gem is located deep in the forest under the canopies of tall and ancient Yarri trees. Driving time from Perth is 2 hours 40 mins
𝑷𝒓𝒊𝒗𝒂𝒕𝒆 𝒐𝒓 𝒕𝒘𝒊𝒏 𝒔𝒉𝒂𝒓𝒆 𝒓𝒐𝒐𝒎𝒔 𝒂𝒓𝒆 𝒂𝒗𝒂𝒊𝒍𝒂𝒃𝒍𝒆. Beds are either single or queen size. Origins has everything you need for a comfortable experience. There are male and female bathrooms, composting toilets, communal lounge/living space, a beautiful rotunda for personal practice, and much more!

Origins has a well-equipped kitchen for cooking and preparing food. Food will be pot luck style meals like last time (each person bringing a dish to share for the weekend).

The cost for two nights and three days of accommodation is $𝟏𝟎𝟎

Grounded in the depths of the Balingup Forests, Kip has been caretaker of Origins Retreat Centre since 2020, so expect a homely nurturing experience! His primary work is with Natural Perspectives; guiding small groups on multi-day bushwalking adventures connected to Spirit. A deep feeler of the living, breathing animate Earth; Kip continues to cultivate a connection to the wider world through the ancient Daoist practice of Qi-Gong. He trains under teachers Roy Jenzen (Internal Intent) as well as being part of the Forest Rock Qi-Gong global community.
