In traditional Māori herbal medicine, Pohutukawa was used topically for wounds and abrasions. The bark contains ellagic acid, which has anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory properties.
The bioactive extract from the flowers is conditioning, deeply moisturising, antioxidant-packed and antiseptic.
With this we can make moisturiser, face toner, hair tonic, bath soak, tonic for sore throats and a delicious and beautiful drink that gives a strong sense of I AM.
