Course Fee :£100 per student. A discount can be applied if a sibling joins bootcamp too.

Location :3-day bootcamp at our Edinburgh centre

Age Range : Suitable for 10 to 15 year-olds.

Dates : Tuesday 4th August to Thursday 6th August

Time: 2pm to 5pm each day (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday).

Introduction:

This boot camp takes a wide lens on computer science by covering topics within Python Programming. Students are empowered to create authentic artifacts and engage with Computer Science as a medium for creativity, communication, problem-solving, and fun.

1. Programming using JavaScript

Programming using JavaScript will introduce the foundational concepts of computer programming, which unlocks the ability to make rich, interactive apps. This course uses JavaScript as the programming language, and App Lab as the programming environment to build apps, but the concepts learned in these lessons span all programming languages and tools.

Advanced Mobile Application Development continues the introduction of foundational concepts of computer programming, which unlocks the ability to make rich, interactive apps. This course uses JavaScript as the programming language, and App Lab as the programming environment to build apps, but the concepts learned in these lessons span all programming languages and tools.

1. Advanced Python Programming

The course utilizes a blended classroom approach. The content is fully web-based, with students writing and running code in the browser. Teachers utilize tools and resources provided by CodeHS to leverage time in the classroom and give focused 1-on-1 attention to students. Each unit of the course is broken down into lessons. Lessons consist of video tutorials, short quizzes, example programs to explore, and written programming exercises.
