More Homes Scotland - reducing affordable housing need in Scotland

About this Event

In January 2026 the Scottish Government announced its plans to create a new national housing agency, More Homes Scotland, to bring "simplicity, scale and speed" to the delivery of homes. Post-election, we're bringing stakeholders together to discuss how the More Homes Scotland agency can effectively address the housing emergency.

We'll hear from sector leaders including Professor Gibb and colleagues at CaCHE on their new research into the agency, commissioned by Shelter Scotland. We'll discuss how the setup and design of the agency can enable it to meet the urgent need for social and affordable housing, ensuring everyone in Scotland has a safe, secure, affordable home.
