Pure Sound A Space to Receive

Unlike my other classes this offering is devoted entirely to pure sound.
You will enter a silent embrace of warmth at The Tree Sanctuary and be gently held within angelic high frequency tones and grounding vibrations. The session is a deeply restful immersive experience where nothing is required of you. There is no technique to follow and nothing to achieve. You are invited to simply arrive, settle, receive and breathe while the sound carries you.
During the session you will be bathed in the resonance of alchemy instrument gongs, crystal singing bowls, alchemy bowls, traditional Tibetan singing bowls, space chimes, Koshi chimes and drum. The layering of these tones creates a field of vibration that supports the nervous system to slow, the breath to deepen and the body to return to a natural state of balance. Many people experience a sense of spaciousness, warmth and inner quiet as the body responds to sound on a cellular level.
About your practitioner
Joanne Gillibrand has been a qualified Sound Therapist for over a decade and has facilitated hundreds of group sessions both locally and further afield. Her work is grounded in a thorough understanding of the therapeutic effects of vibration on the body and mind. She studies the relationship between frequency, resonance and the nervous system and carefully weaves instruments together to support deep relaxation and gentle regulation.
Her approach is trauma aware, intuitive and respectful of each individual’s experience. She integrates knowledge from sound therapy, meditation, breath awareness and subtle energy work to create a safe and supportive environment where the body can naturally restore itself. Joanne is affiliated with the International Institute for Health and Holistic Therapy, Complementary Medical Association and the Federation of Yoga and Holistic Therapists and continues ongoing professional development to ensure her work remains both ethical and informed.
You will be held in safe and gentle hands here at The Tree Sanctuary.
Please bring with you a Yoga Mat, a pillow and a blanket to create your cocoon of relaxation.
