About this Event

PUNK'N CARVE 2026

Sick of carving a pumpkin every year? Well, join LEE at m.o.nster arts with this free one of a kind beginner-friendly ceramics workshop! You will learn the basics of molds by slip-casting your own pumpkin. What you do with it after is up to you: Carve a scary or funny face into it. Give it teeth or arms or horns or a hat or a tail or spikes or a pet mouse! Glaze it crazy. Go WILD!

Additonal dates may be added with enough community interest.

About the Artist:

LEE is a mixed-media ceramic and fibers artist. Lee was born and raised in Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania, and graduated the Tyler School of Art in Philadelphia with a ceramics focused BFA in 2019. LEE is the founder of m.o.nster arts which focuses on community arts and engagement.

LEE is the Studio Coordinator for the Ceramics Studio and the Programs Coordinator at Utility Works. Over the past year he has developed the studio into a community space for local artists. He continues his efforts of dedicated creative growth with the partnership of the Lansdowne community and the LEDC.

This is a free event. Everyone is welcome at this workshop! You do not have to have a MakerSpace membership or any affiliation with Utility Works.

Parking:

Street Parking is metered on the side and front of the building.
The Highland avenue parking lot behind Dunkin' Donuts is also available for parking, which is also metered.

Basement Accessibility

Please note that this workshop takes place in the Utility Works basement, which is only accessible via stairs. The class requires participants to be able to sit and/or stand for at least three hours and use their hands for two hours. You must be able to lift 25lbs. There are two gender-neutral bathrooms available for students, including one that is ADA accessible. If you have specific accessibility needs or questions, please contact us in advance so we can discuss potential accommodations.
