ONE is very honored to host a group of Tibetan Buddhist monks from the Drepung Loseling Monastery in south India as they embark on their Mystical Arts of Tibet tour across the United States, representing their monastery while holding space and a devotional puja for peace and community connection ♡A puja is a simple community devotional ritual comprised of chanting, mantras (prayers), meditation, and singing to foster spiritual growth, express devotion (bhakti), and receive blessings. The monks will lead us through this experience together in Tibetan (with a translator) with educational devotion and joy.
We ask for a simple offering of $10 per participant to support the monks on their tour of peace—100% of proceeds will be given to them, and they will also have some items available for sale before and after the puja to browse if interested.
No need to bring anything except yourself and perhaps something comfortable to sit on—we will have soft bolsters and limited benches / chairs available.

ABOUT:
The monks are from Drepung Loseling Monastery in southern India, where they have all earned their Geshe Degree in Buddhist Philosophy, which is equivalent to a PhD in America. Each monk is handpicked from the approximately 3,000 monks at the monastery in India to go on tour to represent their monastery. It is a great honor.
In Tibetan culture, it is a popular and customary practice for families to invite monks and nuns to perform spiritual ceremonies for diverse purposes such as health, protection, and success in one’s undertakings, both routinely for general well-being and also at times of specific need.
The tour is called The Mystical Arts of Tibet, and their American-based monastery is located in Atlanta, Georgia, where they stay when not traveling through the states. The tour is intended to contribute to world healing and peace, and to help preserve the endangered Tibetan culture by raising funds for Drepung Loseling Monastery.
Two thirds of the monastery’s three thousand monks are recent refugees from Tibet and their numbers continue to grow yearly as more and more Tibetans flee their homeland to find cultural and religious freedom in exile in India.
