Summer Solstice: 108 Sun Salutations
Repetition as Devotion • A Moving Prayer
Join Ohm instructor Katie Hawks for a special Summer Solstice practice honoring the longest day of the year through movement, breath, and intention.
In yoga, the number 108 is considered sacred. It's a symbol of wholeness, connection, and the journey inward. Together, we will move through 108 Sun Salutations not as a challenge or test of endurance, but as a moving meditation and act of devotion. As the practice unfolds, repetition becomes rhythm. Rhythm becomes presence. Presence becomes prayer.
We will begin with gentle warm-ups and traditional Sun Salutations, gradually building toward Surya Namaskar A and B before softening our way back down through slower, grounding movements. Along the way, you'll be invited to connect with the themes of the Summer Solstice: light, abundance, gratitude, and the quiet radiance that already exists within.
This workshop welcomes all levels. You are encouraged to honor your body, rest when needed, and move at a pace that feels sustainable. The intention is not to complete 108 perfectly, but to experience the transformative power of returning again and again to the breath, to the body, and to the present moment.
Our practice will conclude with guided meditation and savasana, allowing time to integrate the experience and rest in the fullness of the season.
Come as you are. Move with intention. Let repetition become devotion.
Date: Sunday, June 28th
Time: 11:30-1:30
Cost: $40
