Explore the rich landscape of classical Indian philosophy through an introduction to its major schools, with a focus on the core ideas of Vedānta, Yoga, and Buddhism. Discover how these influential traditions shaped the thought of leading Theosophists, including Annie Besant and Helena Petrovna Blavatsky.
Chara Scroope is a PhD candidate in Sanskrit literature and philosophy at the University of Queensland, an award-winning scholar who has received more than 20 academic honours, including the Theosophical Society Perennial Philosophy Prize on three occasions. She also teaches at the University of Queensland and the Australian National University and is the co-author and co-editor of the Cultural Atlas, an SBS-supported online resource exploring over 75 cultures and eight world religions.
