The Psychology in the Valley Seminar Series invites community members to learn about current psychological research taking place in the Shenandoah Valley. This installment will focus on “The Impact of Gender Identity in the Social World” and will feature brief presentations from local scholars whose work explores how gender identity, attitudes, and/or biology shape perception, behavior, and experiences.Speakers will present 15-minute talks followed by Q&A. This event is free and open to the public.

Psychology in the Valley is a regional initiative designed to connect faculty and students across valley colleges and universities while sharing psychological research with the broader public. The series is co-organized by Dr. Kathryn Howard-Ligas (EMU) and Dr. Ben Blankenship (JMU).
