Chocolate Walk 2025

If you like chocolate this is the event for you! It has never been easier to support a cause you care about than by enjoying a leisurely stroll around wonderful downtown Harrisonburg and collecting chocolate treats. Your participation in this event directly supports Collins Center's mission to promote healing to all affected by sexual harm in our community.

Please join us on Friday, April 25th, 2025, between the hours of 4pm - 7pm. Visit participating businesses and organizations and collect and indulge in chocolatey goodness crafted with love and donated by local chocolatiers and bakers. Each site will offer a different type of chocolate treat for you to collect as you enjoy your stroll.

Sweet Event Details:

• Ticketing: : Each event ticket purchased is for 1 box to collect chocolates at each stop. There is not a limit to the number of people who can participate in the walk. Participants will collect 1 chocolate item (at each stop) per 1 box purchased.
• Registration & Check-in: Check-in at the Ice House Roundabout (in front of the PaleFire patio), 217 South Liberty St., between 4:00 pm-6:30 pm on April 25th. Once you have checked in, make your way to some of your favorite spots and get your chocolate on!

• Parking: Public parking Downtown is free, with 4-hour time limits in some locations. Spaces reserved for permit holders become free public parking after 5:00 pm. Parking is available at the Water Street Parking Deck, and the municipal lot at the Turner Pavilion (if you arrive before 5 pm please make sure to check the signs marked by 4-hour parking). Off-street public parking is also available - look for signs indicating the time limits and if a permit is required.

FAQs

Will the event happen rain or shine?

Yes! The Chocolate Walk will take place in any weather condition. Refunds will not be given due to the weather.

I have a small child that won't eat chocolate. Do I need to purchase a ticket for them?

No, children not old enough to participate fully do not need to have a ticket.

I just want to walk with my friends but do not plan to participate otherwise. Should I purchase a ticket?

No, it is not necessary to purchase a ticket unless you plan to collect chocolate.

Do I have to go to every host site and participate for the entire 3hours?

No, you may go to as many stops as you like, in any order between 4:00 - 7:00 pm!

Can I purchase tickets at registration?

Yes, as long as tickets last you can purchase them at check-in, but don’t miss out - get your tickets early!

Can I donate to Collins Center at registration?

Absolutely, we are happy to accept donations during the event :)

We know chocolates are not for dogs, but Naia, Collins Center’s facility dog, is ready to go!
