PROVO 2000s HOUSE SHOW 2026

The early 2000s was a watershed moment for Provo–culturally, artistically, and socially– ushering in a wave of notable successes in music, film, art, and technology. This movement started as many movements start–in garages and living rooms, in classrooms and dorm rooms, largely uncoordinated and unorganized, and found an audience at homes dotting the south side of the BYU campus in the accessible house show format. This period at the dawn of a new century was a largely analog state before ubiquitous content creation, social media adoption, and the abundance and accessibility of digital tools. It was a time when word of mouth and handbills still drove the socialization and amplification of what was happening–when we looked at one another in person, rather than online. It was Provo in the 2000s. We want to celebrate this brief, yet vibrant, window of time with music, art, and most of all, with a gathering of friends, new and old. This will be fun for the whole family--if the whole family likes loud music.
