Protecting Pronghorns Display at Natural History Institute
This display, created by CAWA, will be in the lobby of the Natural History Institute (https://naturalhistoryinstitute.org/) for two months, from July 24th through September 24th
The institute hours are Tuesday - Friday, noon to 4:00 p.m.
Join us on opening night, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on July 24th, as part of the 4th Friday Art Walk (https://www.artthe4th.com/).
CAWA members will be there to share information about our work to protect pronghorns and other local wildlife, our field outings, volunteer projects, and a wildlife survey app to record wildlife sightings.
After July 24th, you can tour our display during regular visiting hours at the Natural History Institute, Tuesdays through Fridays from noon to 4 p.m.
Whether you are curious about some of the fun facts about pronghorns (like how they got that name or how fast they can run) or want to learn about the new wildlife crossing over Interstate 17, this is your opportunity to delve into the world of pronghorns.
We consider this special Yavapai County resident the “spirit of the grasslands.” The opportunity to see pronghorns in their natural habitat is one of the things that makes living in our area unique.
We extend a huge THANK YOU to the Natural History Institute for hosting this display.
