Founded in 2012, the Granite Mountain Jewelry Artists organization has dedicated itself to fostering the creative and professional growth of local jewelry makers. By providing structured educational experiences in jewelry arts and related fields, the guild empowers its members to constantly elevate their technical design and business skills. The annual show serves as a vital public showcase of this dedication to craftsmanship, reflecting the high standards and artistic evolution cultivated within the group.
"What began as a group of passionate local artists has flourished into a vital creative community. This year's show at the Elks Theatre highlights not only a decade of successful exhibitions but also the phenomenal growth, cooperation, and skill of our local jewelry andwearable art designers, “ according to GMJA President, Susan Calhoun.
Beyond its public exhibitions, GMJA serves as an active, collaborative community for regional artists. The organization provides a vibrant forum for sharing techniques, fostering cooperation, and networking among jewelry professionals and passionate hobbyists alike.
Regular monthly meetings are held on the fourth Sunday of each month at 10:00 AM at the 'Tis Annex, located at 235 North Marina Street in Prescott. Interested artists, from beginners to advanced professionals, are always welcome to attend and explore membership.
