Prophetic Art Workshop - Worship Painting

Join us for a Prophetic Art Workshop, led by artist and instructor Rachel Johnson.

She will guide you through warm-up exercises in your sketchbook to help you reconnect with your creative flow. Then we’ll move into painting on canvas, co-creating with the Holy Spirit during our time of worship.

After painting, we’ll gather to share our discoveries through the process.

All painting materials will be provided - canvases, easels, paintbrushes, and acrylic paint. You’re welcome to bring your own personal paints, paintbrushes, or other supplies. You will need to wear clothes that you can paint in, and you will need to bring your own sketchbook for warm-up exercises. If you don’t have a sketchbook, we can provide paper for you.

What is prophetic art?

Artist Matt Tommey says it well:

“Simply put, prophetic art is ‘creating art with God.’ It’s a beautiful dance where, as artists, we do the thing that God has put on our heart through our creative process.”

“Artists are the life-givers in culture. We are a pivotal intersection point where the Kingdom of Heaven meets culture. It is there that we have the unique opportunity, through the power of the Holy Spirit, to translate the Kingdom of Heaven into a language that bypasses words and goes directly into the human spirit. When we collaborate with the Holy Spirit in this dance of Kingdom creativity, His power, His Life, and His Light merge with our faith, creative thoughts, imaginations, desires and skill into art that carries the literal presence and power of God. It is in this context that our art, no matter the creative medium becomes prophetic.”

Prophetic art is a visual expression that releases Heaven’s atmosphere, carries anointing for healing and transformation, and conveys God’s heart to strengthen individuals and the community.

As prophetic artists, we partner with the Holy Spirit to shift atmospheres and impart life and healing to others.

What is the Prophetic Art Workshop?

This workshop invites all believers to co-create with God, starting with listening prayer, and then creating art that encourages others. No prior skill is required, just an open heart and willingness to explore what God may be saying through creative expression.
