Prophetic Art Workshop - Collage Accordion Book with Holy Spirit

Instead of creating on a poster board, we’ll create our vision collages in handmade accordion books. These fold-out books will serve as a visual reminder of the intentions you’ve set with the Holy Spirit for the year ahead.

This workshop coincides with Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year - a time that many followers of Jesus also observe as a season of remembrance, reflection, and spiritual renewal, as well as an invitation to realign with God’s vision and direction for the coming year. It’s also a natural time of transition for those entering a new academic season in the fall. Together, we’ll pause to seek clarity, listen for God’s guidance, and align our hearts with His vision.

All materials will be provided, including paper and cardboard to construct your accordion book, along with magazines, paint pens, scissors, and glue for your collage. You’re welcome to bring any personal materials like magazines, stickers, markers, or pens to customize your book.

After creating, we’ll gather to share what emerged through the process, encourage one another, and close in prayer.

What is prophetic art?

Prophetic art is a visual expression that releases Heaven’s atmosphere, carries anointing for healing and transformation, and conveys God’s heart to strengthen individuals and the community.

As prophetic artists, we partner with the Holy Spirit to shift atmospheres and impart life and healing to others.

Artist Matt Tommey says it well:

“Simply put, prophetic art is ‘creating art with God.’ It’s a beautiful dance where, as artists, we do the thing that God has put on our heart through our creative process.”

“Artists are the life-givers in culture. We are a pivotal intersection point where the Kingdom of Heaven meets culture. It is there that we have the unique opportunity, through the power of the Holy Spirit, to translate the Kingdom of Heaven into a language that bypasses words and goes directly into the human spirit. When we collaborate with the Holy Spirit in this dance of Kingdom creativity, His power, His Life, and His Light merge with our faith, creative thoughts, imaginations, desires and skill into art that carries the literal presence and power of God. It is in this context that our art, no matter the creative medium becomes prophetic.”

What is the Prophetic Art Workshop?

This workshop invites followers of Jesus to co-create with God, starting with listening prayer, and then creating art that encourages others.

No prior skill is required, just an open heart and willingness to explore what God may be saying through creative expression.
